Environmental responsibility

Manufacturing industries are operations which generate environmental impact in one form or another. The greatest impact stems from the consumption of energy and materials, while the generation of waste and climate emissions likewise translates into an impact on the environment. The Group has also identified risks, primarily concerning access to more sustainable – from an environmental perspective – materials and the opportunities to transition the business in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In order to deal with these risks, the Group companies are working to improve their environmental performance on an ongoing basis.

Financial responsibility

In order to achieve profitability, it is essential to allocate resources with care and to work with efficiency in all areas. For many years, we have maintained a clear focus on long-term, profitable growth. The long-term perspective permeates all areas of our business, and the Group thus takes responsibility for, and contributes to, improving the community in which we are active. Our Corporate Social Responsibility also involves us, as far as possible, ensuring that our processes and products do not have a negative impact on people’s health or on the environment. By constantly adopting new technology and making sure we stay at the forefront of product development, we can ensure that the Group’s production has the least possible impact on health and the environment, at the same time as we continue to operate in an efficient and profitable manner.
